OUR CALL: Church Historical Site Missionaries, Palmyra, New York

Our mission started October 26th, 2009. As we entered the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah, we were nervous and excited. Little did we know then what absolute joy and blessings were ahead of us. This is our story through words and pictures of some of our special experiences as we serve in the "Cradle of the Restoration". Walking Sacred ground everyday and teaching and testifying of what we know to be true. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to earth in this the latter days, and we humbly strive to do our part as directed by the Spirit of the Lord through prayer, service, obedience, and love.

Opening Night of the Pageant

This was an experience we will never forget as we watched the pageant come together over a 3 week period, from setting up the stage to the production, to the takikng down and putting away, it was just amazing! Over 800 cast members with beautiful costumes and wigs. They learned their parts in just 1 weeks time. The pageant is narrated. The music, done by the Tabernacle Choir, echos through the night air. We enjoyed watching it from many different vantage points and with many different people and loved it all. It is a great missionary tool as those who watch it have so many questions and feel the spirit of it's message and want to know more about the Book of Mormon. Of course we are only too happy to talk with them. Now we start the task of calling all those referrals.
