OUR CALL: Church Historical Site Missionaries, Palmyra, New York

Our mission started October 26th, 2009. As we entered the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah, we were nervous and excited. Little did we know then what absolute joy and blessings were ahead of us. This is our story through words and pictures of some of our special experiences as we serve in the "Cradle of the Restoration". Walking Sacred ground everyday and teaching and testifying of what we know to be true. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to earth in this the latter days, and we humbly strive to do our part as directed by the Spirit of the Lord through prayer, service, obedience, and love.

Sunday Sacrament Meeting and Open House

Today was a great day! Glenn and I spoke in our ward. Our subject was the Book of Mormon. We love this great book of scripture and know it holds the fullness of the Gospel. We are firmly committed to bearing testimony of it's truth along with the Restoration of the Gospel.

After Church our children hosted an open house where we met many of our family and friends who came to share this day with us. The food and conversation was excellent! It was a beautiful Fall day, and ended with the special coming together with just our family, 15 of us now, as Glenn and I were set apart by our Stake Presidency. As we were pronounced full time missionaries.... we felt that mantle being placed upon us. We are happy to serve the Lord in this capacity at this time in our lives. We thank our children for their love and support and all they have done for us.

We leave our home in the good hands of our youngest son Tyler, his wife Valerie and new son Ty. Now it's on to the Missionary Training Center for 9 days of instruction.
